Hey guys, we got back from our leader retreat on sunday, and it was absolutely amazing. It was a great time of fellowship and great time of prayer and just plain fun. After this retreat we are even more excited about leading you guys into the incredible islands of Fiji. Just going to throw in some quick reminders real fast:
- team meeting on Thursday... meet at security at 9 with at least 40 copies of your letter, 40 copies of tammy deyo's letter, 40 addresses, and envelopes to stuff... it is going to be a stuffing party and its going to be awesome!
- next thursday is big team at 6:30 in christ chapel... it is the stamp party so bring the envelopes with addresses and they will pay for postage for all the envelopes you bring in, so bring bring bring those letters
- we are starting individuals this week and erin and i will be meeting with you all real soon...
- don't forget to be reading the gospel of matthew this month... just try and study the true character of Jesus.. i love in Matthew 3:11 when John is talking about baptism and how he baptizes with water such as humanity, but Jesus, the son of God baptises with fire!!! how incredible is that... he baptizes us with fire and the holy spirit. just simply incredible.
- i put a mini-calendar on the side on this web page for reminders of dates, so make sure and check it!
- guys, be creative with those letters too, add pictures of yourself, of fiji, just be creative!!!
lastly,
erin and i love you all team fiji.. you are the best

BULA BULA (hello in Fijian)

Hey guys, Tyler Sterns and Erin Barnett here, to welcome you to Team Fiji. We are so stoked to have you guys on the team and getting to know you guys throughout the year and on the field! We also feel so privileged to be your leaders this year as well. This blog will be our primary communication method. Everything you will need to know will be here at this site. We will have info, schedules, team meetings, links about Fiji, and just other random stuff.
We want to tell you a little bit about ourselves, but I’m sure that we will get to know each other probably more than we want to during those 2 amazing months in Fiji…
Tyler is a junior and a business major who currently resides in EMR on Men of God, and lives in Texas, and enjoys a nice cruise on a longboard down a ferocious hill… Erin is also a junior and an International Community Development major from South Carolina and loves sweet tea, and grits…
